Hey,

I’m Cory, a fiction writer. My debut story, “Smith,” published in The Common, won the 2026 PEN/Dau Short Story Prize for Emerging Writers. My second short story, “Ana,” won the 2026 DISQUIET Grand Prize and is forthcoming in Granta. Thanks to Harvardwood’s Artist Launch Fellowship, I am spending the year writing a coming-of-age novel about disasters and masculinity.

I’m a partner at The Environmental Storytelling Studio and a reader for the Mediterranean Arts Project. Currently, I live in Whitefish, Montana, where I enjoy birding and backpacking.
